Value Study 

All of my pieces start out with a ton of research and reading. This includes some books and then mainly searching online for referneces and information. Then I usually journal a bit just to get some thoughts down. I only included these random pages of thumbnails for the fun of it with some ideas that I want to explore in the future or have already made pieces from. On the very top was my explaination for this particular painting. And as you can see I only did one thumbnail. Sometimes it just works out like that, however most of the time I have pages of thumbnails before I chose a direction to go in. This particular piece just called out to me very easily.
